Winter Snowshoe Fun
Always wanted to try the wonderful sport of snowshoeing? Well here’s your chance while getting a glimpse of how beautiful the surrounding Cascade Mountains can be in wintertime. Perfect for the beginner (or seasoned veteran), today’s outing will cover basic snowshoeing techniques and practice simple winter safety skills while exploring gentle slopes and trails. Fee includes snowshoes, poles and trail pass. Please note: Exact location of the hike will depend upon recent snowfall and current weather and road conditions. A complete supplies list will be available at registration. If time allows we will stop for a no-host treat on the way home.

28th Annual Langley Mystery Weekend
Calling all you Agatha Christie and Sherlock Holmes wannabes! Join us as we travel via van and ferry to the quaint town of Langley on Whidbey Island. This entertaining event is a whodunit that involves the whole town! Once registered we’ll each receive a copy of the Langley Gazette (published specifically for this event), an entry form and map. Then you’re off on your own sleuthing throughout the town visiting the stores and cafes, interviewing the colorful locals and collecting your clues. After you’ve figured it all out you’ll enter your best guess in a drawing for extraordinary prizes. Sound intriguing? Don’t miss out on all the fun, fantastic food options and wonderful shopping. Seattle Underground Tour and Pike Place Market
Today you will enjoy two of Seattle’s most unique and famous attractions! First stop, the Underground Tour. This humorous stroll through Seattle’s original downtown features a time-capsule view of life prior to the Great Fire of 1889. Tour guides will regale you with sidesplitting, true stories you won’t believe or soon forget! Then we’re off to the market and all its modern-day livelihood. Once here, everyone will have ample time for lunch, shopping and area exploration. Bring money for a no-host lunch and purchases. Wear comfortable and weather appropriate clothing and walking shoes.
