Up, Up and Away!
Today you will visit not one, but two of the region’s most talked about attractions. First stop…the Future of Flight Aviation Center and Boeing Tour. The only public tour of a commercial jet assembly plant in North America, our visit includes interactive exhibits and displays in the 28,000-square-foot Aviation Center Gallery, as well as a behind-the-scenes tour of the Boeing plant where we will watch 747s, 777s, or 787s being assembled right before our eyes. Next we’ll fly on down I-5 (not really…we’ll drive!) to the award-winning Museum of Flight, one of the largest air and space museums in the world. It’s collection includes more than 150 historically significant air and spacecraft, as well as the Red Barn®—the original manufacturing facility of The Boeing Co. Pack a sack lunch to eat on the drive down or bring money to enjoy a no-host meal in the museum’s wonderful Wings Café. Please note: The Boeing Tour involves walking approximately one-third of a mile, climbing 21 stairs, riding an elevator 35 feet above the factory floor and walking through a tunnel.

Silent Movie Monday…A Unique Valentine’s Treat!
Each year the Paramount Theatre hosts an amazing classic film series accompanied by live music from its historic Mighty Wurlitzer organ, one of the last three remaining organs of its kind to reside in its original environment. This year’s theme, First Oscars, features movies that each won the statuette in 1927 including Best Picture honors that went to WINGS. This World War I drama about fighter pilots, love and heroism, and directed by William Wellman, was the first, and the only silent film, to win the Academy Award for Best Picture. It stars Clara Bow, Charles "Buddy" Rogers and newcomer Gary Cooper. Don’t miss the opportunity to see this classic on the big screen in all its original splendor! Prior to the show you will have time to enjoy a delicious no-host dinner at one of many award-winning restaurants nearby. What a fantastic date idea!
